MODE
ABOUT
MODE is an arts administration and strategy practice collaborating with artists, curators, and cultural institutions on creative direction, editorial development, and project realization. We navigate the space between concept and execution—shaping language, building frameworks, and supporting the subtle architecture behind rigorous, poetic artistic work.
Founded by Abbey Meaker, an artist, writer, and publisher with nearly two decades of experience, MODE draws on her deep understanding of the artistic process and institutional ecosystems. Her work spans public art commissions, long-range planning, exhibition production, brand development, and editorial visioning.
Abbey has led projects across the U.S. and Europe, collaborating with artists, publications, studios, and galleries on everything from organizational growth, production, curatorial advising to operational systems. Her approach is intuitive yet rigorous—shaped by a background in visual art, a commitment to atmospheric storytelling, and research grounded in art history, cinema, and psychoanalytic theory.
MODE reflects this ethos: attentive, interdisciplinary, and structured to support ambitious creative work at every stage.
